Welcome to the annual Classic Movies Salute to Oscar®. For classic movie fans, this is one event that ties the past to the present. Though we may not admit to a love for many of the new films, most of us will be in front of the TV set on Sunday, February 27, 2011, when the envelopes are opened.
The nominees were announced earlier this month, and we've got the list in alphabetical order by award type. (If you've already seen the list of nominees, scroll down past our list for a great selection of links to other sites with Oscar content.)
