Here's the first of a series of ongoing quizzes on subjects having to do with classic film. We'll make this first one an easy one for everybody. The subject is the Academy Awards, and the questions are as follows (click on the number of the question to get the answer if you're stumped):
(1) In the history of the Academy Awards, only three films swept all four major awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress). What were the pictures?
(2) Okay, that was easy. What years were they made?
(3) Name the directors.
(4) Name the actors.
(5) Name the screenwriters. (Just kidding.) Name the actresses.
(6) Twenty other films won three out of the four major awards. How many can you identify, including the years.
Okay, that's enough for now. (If you're wondering which award the 20 pictures didn't get... look it up.)
