Classic Movies

R.I.P. Brian Keith, Robert Mitchum, and Jimmy Stewart

The deaths of actors Brian Keith, Robert Mitchum, and Jimmy Stewart within days of each other once again confirms the superstition about deaths coming in threes. The movie industry has lost three fine actors, all of whom had long and distinguished careers. Here are links to some Classic Movies tribute articles to Mitchum and Stewart, plus a link to the official Jimmy Stewart Museum. (I'm not aware of any dedicated Brian Keith site, so if you know of one, drop me a line.)

Robert Mitchum
In September of 1998 we created this expanded tribute to the great hardboiled actor who died July 1, 1997 at the age of 79.

Death of a "Good Guy"
An interview by our Special Correspondent, A.J. Flick. Kind words from friends of the late Robert Mitchum, who may have played a bad guy in a few movies, but was a good guy in real life.

A Tribute to Jimmy Stewart
The reason is complicated, but darn it, Mary, this site has not had a full-length tribute to Jimmy Stewart... until now. Here's a salute to everybody's favorite Everyman on what would have been his 96th birthday.

So Long, Jimmy
Another wonderful interview by our Special Correspondent, A.J. Flick -- this time with some good friends of Jimmy Stewart's, who talk about his life and work.

The Jimmy Stewart Museum
The home page of the Museum in Jimmy's hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
