200 Favorite Movies
My 200 favorite movies of all time - the ones I'll stay up half the night to watch for the 10th time, even though I have a big meeting the next day.

Checklists of Classic Movies
If you can't find a movie to watch on one of these lists, you don't like movies! Including films for every holiday, political films, scary movies, and more.

Classic Baseball Movies
From Joe E. Brown's clowning around to the lyrical Field of Dreams, Hollywood has long had a love affair with baseball.

Classic Doomsday Movies
Is the world about to come to an end this week? They thought so in the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s, too, and here are the movies to prove it!

Classic Football Movies
It may not be America's favorite sport yet, but football is more popular than ever, and has been a factor in more than one Hollywood film, dating back to the silent era. Here are some of the best.

Classic WW II Movies
No event in world history has inspired more movies than World War II. Here are most of the ones you can't afford to miss, especially if you're a WWII buff.

100 Years, 100 Stinkers
Classic movies fans will love this list, because only four of the 100 films were made previous to 1960, and two are Ed Wood specials! Help select the Worst Film of the 20th Century!

The AFI 100 Movies
The list of Top 100 movies on the American Film Institute's site.

All-Time Sports Movie Listings
The Sandlot Shrink offers their annotated listings of movies revolving around a variety of sports, including baseball, football, boxing, hockey, auto racing, even billiards and bowling. In order of release date!

Cine-Rhama's Brit Films Page
A long, annotated, alphabetical listing of British films, both current and classic, with the author's ratings ranging from "perfect" to "worth a mention." From a larger site called Cine-Rhama.

The Film & Video Library, University of California San Diego

Journalism Movies
Paul Schindler says he has has two major interests: journalism and movies. He's combined them on this site, which contains a collection of reviews of his favorite journalism films and other material, plus a link to an academic site called "The Image of the Journalist in Popular Culture," which Paul describes as the best journalism movie site other than his!

The Library of Congress Motion Picture and Television Reading Room
They've been collecting stuff since 1893, but you'll have to go there to see it. In the meantime, this site offers a listing of what's in the collection, plus information about location, hours, phone & fax numbers, plus guidelines for viewing images and doing research.

Oscar Winners on DVD
Films on Disc's Stu Kobak has reviewed all the Oscar winning films, actors, and actresses, and discovered a goodly number whose films are not yet available on DVD. More importantly, he's planning to let us know when they are released so we can add them to our collections.

Rock and Roll Movies, from The Video Beat
A listing of classic 1950s & 1960s rock and roll movies that contain quintessential music performances and vintage footage of important artists in their prime. A helpful resource for collectors. Part of a larger site devoted to rock and roll on video. Look for listings of movies featuring hippies, bikers, and bad girls, as well as TV shows, performances, and documentaries.

The Thrilling Detective: Celluloid Eyes
The film section of Kevin Smith's very nice hardboiled mystery Web site has lots of mystery and noir films listed. There's even a page devoted to the Crockett novels of yours truly!

Toffee's Warner Brothers Archive
A listing of WB films produced from 1929 to 1945, part of Toffee's Wonderful World of Warners. Toffee says he's "a 38-year-old male from England and I'm so cute it hurts!"
