Doug Stickney's Silver Screen Siren Website Best of the Net
Do you have a crush on a movie starlet from the 30s who's old enough to be your grandmother (if she's still with us at all)? I do, and apparently so does Doug Stickney. Lucky for us!
The Acting Divas
The actresses section of a very cool site called "Divas" that celebrates women in many areas of human endeavor. The lineup includes Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich, and others from both the classic and modern era. Each section includes "her story," trivia, gallery, quotes, etc.

Look for special sections on Betty Grable and Jayne Mansfield, plus Glamour Galleries for Marilyn Monroe, Jane Russell, Sophia Loren, Mae West and more.

Double Feature Dolls - As they say, while this is a salute to "classic" actresses, the emphasis here is on sex appeal, so don't be surprised to find Mamie Van Doran, Yvonne De Carlo and Allison Hayes featured over Hepburn, Davis, and Stanwyck. Here, "the Double Feature girls reign supreme." (Some adult content.)

The Other Fab Four
A collection of tributes to Marlon Brando, James Dean, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra -- the teen heartthrobs of their particular generations. You'll find biographies, filmographies, quotes, and other material for each of them. Be sure to use the text links rather than the small photos on the home page (those send you to offsite links). A nice effort, aside from the small size of the pages and the lack of navigation within each section.
