Here are a few items released during the Holidays that we didn't include in our last update (we're not aware of any classic releases for this week):
Lost And Found: The Harry Langdon Collection - Renowned during the silent era for his deadpan, sad-sack expressions that generated poignancy as well as laughter, Harry Langdon occupied a unique place in slapstick pioneer Mack Sennett's ensemble of comedy stars. This four-disc set features a delightful collection of Langdon shorts, including "Picking Peaches" (1924), "Boobs in the Wood" (1925), "Fiddlesticks" (1927), "Knight Duty" (1933), and more, as well as restored fragments of lost films and a documentary reviewing Langdon's impressive career. 10 hrs. total. Standard; Soundtrack: music score; audio commentary; more. Silent with music score. (Released Dec. 25.)
Blade Runner (Five-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition) (1982) - Packaged in a replica of Rick Deckard's briefcase, this five-disc set includes "Blade Runner: The Final Cut," as well as the 1982 theatrical version, the 1982 international version, the 1992 director's cut, a workprint version of the film, the "Enhancement Archive," a lenticular motion film clip, a miniature origami unicorn, a miniature replica "Spinner," photographs, and a signed letter from Ridley Scott. (Released Dec. 18.)
Rawhide: Season 2 (1959) - All 32 episodes of the 1959 season of Rawhide, including "Incident of the Day of the Dead," "Incident at Jacob's Well," "Incident of the Druid's Curse," "Incident of the Devil and His Due," and "Incident of the Wanted Painter" in Vol I and "Incident of the Sharpshooter," "Incident at Sulphur Creek," "Incident of the Stargazer," "Incident of the Silent Web," and "Incident of the Garden of Eden" in Vol II. Over 27 hours. Standard; Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono. (Released Dec. 18.)
