Top Ten Halloween Movies

All Hallows’ Eve is a special time full of laughter treats and scares. In honor of that we have collected a list of our Top Ten Halloween movies! As a note, these movies are not necessarily scary or were released on Halloween but are Halloween centric or Halloween plays a big part of the plot. Now, in no particular order:

1.  Hocus Pocus (1993)

2. Beetlejuice (1988)


When a recently-deceased ghost couple find their now-vacant home invaded by an obnoxious family, they hire a sleazy ghost who gets rid of humans to help them.


3. It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

4. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)


A troubled child summons the courage to help a friendly alien escape Earth and return to his home world.


5.  Exorcist (1973)


When a girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter.


6. The Addams Family (1964 TV Series)

The misadventures of a blissfully macabre but extremely loving family.


7. Dracula (1931)


The ancient vampire Count Dracula arrives in England and begins to prey upon the virtuous young Mina.


8. Halloween (1978)


Fifteen years after murdering his sister on Halloween night 1963, Michael Myers escapes from a mental hospital and returns to the small town of Haddonfield to kill again.


9. Casper (1995)


A paranormal expert and his daughter bunk in an abandoned house populated by three mischievous ghosts and one friendly one.


10. Frankenstein (1931)


An obsessed scientist assembles a living being from parts of exhumed corpses.
